The OPSC OCS result is the final merit list that decides who becomes an Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officer or joins one of the other Odisha Civil Services posts. It comes only after three stages: the Preliminary Examination, the Mains Examination and the Personality Test (interview). Latest OPSC OCS Result: OCS 2024

OPSC declared the OCS 2024 result on 26 May 2026 (notice dated 26.05.2026) and recommended 200 candidates for Group-A and Group-B posts in the Odisha state administration. Every advertised vacancy was filled, with no posts carried forward, and the list is provisional until documents, category certificates and medical fitness are verified.

Toppers. Bubun Sahoo secured Rank 1, followed by Sobhana Mohanty (Rank 2), Jitamitra Sahu (Rank 3), Kanak Jain (Rank 4) and Sangram Pradhan (Rank 5).

Women's representation. 78 women made the list against 65 reserved posts, which is about 39% of all selections.

Category-wise selections. Of the 200 recommended candidates, 70 are Unreserved, 35 are SEBC, 45 are SC and 50 are ST.

Stage-wise numbers:

• Notification issued on 31 December 2024 for 200 vacancies, including 65 reserved for women

• 2,405 candidates qualified in the Prelims

• 2,058 appeared in the Mains, held from 31 January to 10 February 2026

• The Personality Test was held at the OPSC office in Cuttack from 14 to 20 May 2026

The Prelims screening was tough that year. The UR (Male) Prelims cut-off for OCS 2024 was 102.191 marks, one of the highest in the last seven years.

Three things stand out:

• The list size varies a lot. It ranged from 200 in OCS 2024 to 683 in OCS 2022, so the same rank means a different level of competition in different years.

• Women do well at the top. Women took the top three ranks in OCS 2020, and in OCS 2024 they filled 78 of 200 posts.

• Results take time. The gap between the Mains and the final result is usually several months because of the interview round and verification.

3. Open the PDF, which needs no login, and search for your roll number.

4. Save a copy and watch for the next notice on document verification and service allocation.

OPSC publishes results stage by stage, so the Prelims result, Mains result and final result each come as a separate notice. Avoid unofficial lists and always confirm on opsc.gov.in.

What Happens After the OCS Result

Recommended candidates go through document verification, category certificate checks and a medical examination. After that, the Odisha government allots services and posts based on rank, category and preference.
